Desert Desire (aka Smokey) is a black Mammoth Jackstock jennet. She is 56" tall. She came to Sagebrush Ranch in July 2001, and was purchased from Bill Garrett of Stilwell, Oklahoma.

Smokey has a great disposition and loves being with people. She has an exceptional performance temperament. She is a very willing learner, and loves the move out. She has a beautiful trot and a nice smooth canter.

In May of 2003, after only 8 weeks of saddle training, we showed Smokey in Barrels, Polebending, and Keyhole at Bishop Mule Days. She did very well considering her amount of training time, and was a joy to ride.
