We just got back from our first show of the season - the Small Equine Extravaganza pony schooling show in
Grantsville, UT. We were invited to join them this year with our donkeys. We had a great day and met some
wonderful new friends!
I took Andy, Lily and Elsie to the show. Andy competed in Adult Walk/Trot Western Pleasure, Adult Barrel
Racing, Adult Polebending and Adult Keyhole. Lily competed in Adult Western Versitility (ride, drive and
halter), Adult Barrel Racing, Adult Polebending and Adult Keyhole. Andy placed 1st in all 4 of his classes,
and got an Overall Champion trophy. Lily got three 2nd places and a 3rd place. All off the classes had
horses or ponies competing along with us. I ended up scratching Elsie's classes because it started raining
outside where those classes were to be held.
Here are a few photos from the show:
PS. The dogs following the one cart belonged to the lady driving that cart and pony. She was the show
organizer. Her dogs just stood out of the way and watched all of the other contestants, but seemed to think
they were supposed to follow her and her pony through the gaming patterns. :-)
