Sagebrush Mountain Singer (aka Monty) is a black Mammoth Jackstock gelding. He was born in 1998, and came to live with us on July 23, 1999. Monty's father is Mas Ass Acres Mirage, and his mother is North Star Lady Boots.

Monty is a big boy and loves attention and learning new things. He is a real sweet heart. He is out of Champion Mammoth Jackstock lines (Black Bart, Siemon's Glen, Ramrod, and several Dry Gulch Jackstock), and is a full brother to Grand Champion Jack, "Heart B Lonesome Me".

Monty absolutely loves going for walks and doing things with his human friends. We took him for walks around our neighborhood and also in the mountains near here, and he did very well with the cars, trains, road stripes, sidewalks, people, etc.

Whistler, as he is now know, is currently owned by Crystal Ward of Ass-Pen Ranch in California. She has been training Whistler, and has entered him in several parades including the 2003 Tournament of Roses Parade.
